Starting near Telford, venture through the captivating landscapes of the Shropshire Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, before concluding your journey near the convenience of the M6. Ready to explore? Here's your itinerary for the day!

Depart: Macdonalds, near Telford

Kick off your day with a lovely coffee, before we gather for the driver's briefing before hitting the road for the adventure that lies ahead!

Discovering the Shropshire AONB (10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon)

As we depart, we will drive round the outskirts of Telford before plunging into the natural splendour of the Shropshire AONB. Get ready to navigate the winding roads that twist and turn through the verdant landscapes, showcasing the finest views Shropshire has to offer. Marvel at the rugged, unspoiled beauty of the Ironbridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and take in the stunning vistas over the River Severn. These are scenes you won't want to forget!

Lunch near Shrewsbury (12:30 PM - 2:30 PM)

Arriving at The Ego @ The Grapes, near Shrewsbury, we will stop for a hearty 2-Course Sunday Lunch, providing a much-needed break after the morning's drive. Recharge your batteries for the journey that lies ahead.

Main Course

Price includes either a drink or a side up to the value of £5.00 - you will confirm menu choices the week before.

North to Ellesmere (2:30 PM - 3:15 PM)

Following lunch, we'll head north to the charming market town of Ellesmere, nestled beside 'The Mere', one of the largest natural lakes in England. Its peaceful atmosphere is the perfect antidote to the morning's drive. We'll aim to stop for 20 minutes, maybe take a quick stroll along the lake's edge or just grab an ice cream if its lovely and warm.

Eastbound towards Stoke (3:45 PM - 4:30 PM)

Leaving Ellesmere, we then continue east towards Whitchurch and through into Nantwich.  With its timbered buildings whispering tales of old and the River Weaver gently flowing through, this town is a beautiful reminder that some places hold onto their enchanting character, no matter the passage of time.

Farewell at the M6 (4:30 - 5:00 PM)

We'll wind down our day of exploration near the M6, providing an easy route home after an unforgettable day of adventure. Celebrate the day's journey with a final group photo and exchange contact details with your fellow adventurers, promising to meet again on future driving events.
