Morning Briefing Near Penrith (9:30 AM)

Gather near Penrith for our morning meet and greet. After a quick drivers' briefing and perhaps a cup of coffee, we’ll fire up our engines and set the stage for a day of remarkable driving. Ready, set, go!

A686 Ascent to Alston (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM)

Kick off your day by scaling the A686, a road that has garnered praise as one of the finest driving routes in England. As you ascend, take in the panoramic views that unfold around each curve, culminating in our arrival in Alston, the highest market town in England.

Allendale Town and Lambley Loop (11:00AM - 12:00 PM)

From Alston, we'll loop through Lanehead en route to the scenic vistas of Allendale Town and Lambley. This stretch of the journey offers more than just a road; it's a passage through the heart of the untamed North Pennines.

Lunch Retreat at Alston House, Alston (12:30 PM - 2:00 PM)

We'll return to Alston for a well-deserved lunch at Alston House. This is a perfect opportunity to unwind, partake in delicious local fare, and share the highlights of the morning drive.  Lunch pre-orders will be taken a few days before, and you can pay for this on the day.

Harwood to Stanhope: The Scenic Route (2:15 PM - 3:00 PM)

Recharged and raring to go, our post-lunch route takes us through Harwood and onward to the delightful town of Stanhope. Feast your eyes on a kaleidoscope of landscapes, ranging from serene valleys to craggy hillsides.

Cruising Through Middleton, Brough, and Sedburgh (3:15 PM - 4:15 PM)

Our journey continues through Middleton, Brough, and finally Sedburgh, a series of locales that showcase the beauty and diversity of the North Pennines. The road has its own narrative here, told through winding lanes and bucolic landscapes.

Grand Finale at Killington Lake Services (4:30 PM)

As we pull into Killington Lake Services, our day of driving adventures will draw to a close. It's a chance to say your goodbyes, share your favourite moments, and perhaps start planning the next driving escapade.
